Terms of Use

Effective October 3, 2026

nogoe is made by praptiyogi.app and published on the App Store by dp Digital Media LLC (“we” and “us” in these terms). nogoe is a community database of restaurants, dishes and packaged foods. It shows what members have reported about onion, garlic and egg, and how well each report is supported. It never gives a verdict on a place or a product.

By using nogoe you agree to these terms. Browsing, searching, scanning and saving never need an account. Contributing does, and creating an account means agreeing to these terms and to the community guidelines below.

What nogoe is — and isn't

The answers in nogoe come from its members: what they saw, ate or were told on a visit, and what they read on a package. Every answer shows how it is known — restaurant confirmed, from the packaging, community verified, community reported, needs verification or conflicting — with who reported it and when.

Reports describe what members found at the time. Kitchens change recipes and manufacturers change ingredients without warning. nogoe shows what the community has reported; it does not decide what is right for you. Always confirm with the restaurant before ordering, and always check the package before buying.

Your account

An account is optional. It is only needed to contribute:

  • adding a place, a dish or a product;
  • sharing what you found on a visit;
  • confirming or correcting what someone else reported;
  • uploading a photo;
  • reporting a problem.

You can sign in with Sign in with Apple or with an email address and password. One account per person. Keep your sign-in details to yourself: what is posted from your account appears under your display name.

Community guidelines

nogoe is only useful if what it says is true. These are the rules everyone who contributes agrees to. You can also find them in the app at You → Settings → Community guidelines and reporting.

  • Share what you actually found. Report what you saw, ate or were told on a real visit. If you aren't sure, say Unknown — a guess reads the same as a fact to the next person.
  • Say how you know. If you asked the staff, say so and say what they answered. That is what separates “Restaurant confirmed” from a member's own experience.
  • Keep it current. Kitchens change. If something listed is no longer true, mark it Incorrect or share a new visit rather than leaving it.
  • Be respectful. No abuse, slurs or harassment — of members, restaurants or their staff.
  • No spam or advertising. No links, phone numbers or email addresses in notes, and no promotion. One account per person.
  • Nothing personal. Don't post private information about yourself or anyone else, and only upload photos you took of the food or the place.

What you post

The reports, answers, notes and photos you post, and the places, dishes and products you add, are public. They are shown to everyone with your display name and the date. Your email address is never shown to anyone.

Only post what you are entitled to share: your own account of what you found, and photos you took yourself — of the food, the package or the place.

What you post stays yours. By posting it, you allow dp Digital Media LLC to store it, show it in nogoe and adapt it to fit the app — for example, counting your answer together with other members' to show how well an answer is supported — so that the community can use it. That permission ends when the content is removed: when you withdraw a report or remove a photo, when a moderator removes it, or when you delete your account.

There is one exception, and it is the same one described under Deleting your account: the structured yes / no / unknown answers you gave about onion, garlic and egg, and the places, dishes and products you added, stay after your account is deleted. They are kept without your name, attributed to “Deleted member”, so that what others are told does not silently change.

Reporting, blocking and moderation

  • Report anything. Every place, dish, product, member report, photo and member has a Report option. Pick a reason and add details if they help.
  • It is hidden for you at once. A report or photo you report disappears from your view immediately, before anyone has reviewed it.
  • A moderator reviews it. Moderators review reports within 24 hours. They can hide or remove content, correct a page, and suspend accounts that keep breaking the community guidelines. Decisions are logged.
  • Photos. A photo that three different members report as inappropriate or spam is hidden for everyone until a moderator has looked at it.
  • Block a member. Open a member's profile and choose Block to stop seeing their reports and photos. The member you block is not told. Undo it at You → Settings → Blocked members.

Text you post is screened automatically, on your device and again on our backend, before it is published. Something urgent, or not covered here? Write to info@praptiyogi.app.

Deleting your account

You can withdraw a report or remove a photo you posted from inside the app at any time. To delete your account, go to You → Settings → Delete account. It happens in the app, immediately, and cannot be undone.

Deleting your account removes:

  • your login — the email and password, or the link to your Apple ID;
  • your email address;
  • your display name, profile photo and badges;
  • your saved places and products, and your list of blocked members;
  • the free-text notes on your reports;
  • the photos you uploaded, which are taken down from every page.

It keeps the structured yes / no / unknown answers you gave about onion, garlic and egg, and the places, dishes and products you added, without your name and attributed to “Deleted member”.

If you can't get into your account, email info@praptiyogi.app and we'll delete it for you within 30 days.

Privacy

nogoe has no ads and no tracking, and we never store your location. The privacy policy explains what is stored, why, and who else is involved.

The app itself

nogoe is free and is provided through Apple's App Store, so Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app. nogoe is provided as is. Its information comes from members and may be incomplete or out of date, and we can't promise that any listing is accurate — which is why every page asks you to confirm with the restaurant or check the package.

Changes

If these terms ever change, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
